Zack Morris and A.C. Slater are constantly fighting for the attention of Bayside’s ladies. Though Zack and Slater are resident heartthrobs, there is one geek who is often overlooked. Few acknowledge that he’s had his fair share of lady loves as well. Throughout Saved by the Bell’s five seasons Samuel “Screech” Powers used his charm to have a number of ladies on his arm from time to time.
- Kelly Kapowski fell for the Screech charm in “Beauty and the Screech.” Kelly was failing science, so Zack employed Screech to teach the basics to Kelly so they could go to the George Michael concert together. While spending time together, Kelly develops a big crush on Screech, but in the end they realize they have nothing in common.
- Bambi is the object of Screech’s affection in “Screech’s Woman.” Screech is Zack’s lab partner, but refused to work until Zack gets him a date. For the sake of his science project and best friend’s feelings, Zack dresses as a girl named Bambi for a date. Screech never catches on that it’s Zack, even when Bambi says it’s her or Zack in Screech’s life.
- Screech gave up lusting after Lisa Turtle when he met his female counterpart, Violet. She’s awkward and “nerdy” like him. In Violet’s eyes Screech is the perfect man, even leaving the king of nerds to be with him. For a handful of episodes Screech is her nerd in shining armor until she magically disappears.
- Robin moves to Bayside from Beverly Hills, appearing the hallway like an exotic beauty in “Screech’s Spaghetti Sauce.” First she rejects Zack and Slater because they are not rich enough for her, but the ultimate slap in the face occurs when she tells Screech that he can ask her out. This happens after he becomes a local celebrity. However, in the end he learns that she is just using him for his money and fame.
- To raise money in “Date Auction,” the school council holds a bachelor auction. In protest against Slater, Jessie Spano places a bid on Screech, winning a date with him. She ends up with Slater at the end, but it was a hot date for Screech for one night only.
- While dating Violet Screech becomes one of Bayside’s hottest athletes when everyone discovers his chess talent. With a big game against Valley in “Check Your Mate,” the rivals will do anything to win. This includes breaking up Screech and Violet to devastate Screech. On, and steal his lucky beret. A Valley babe poses as a reporter who is lusting after him, but he is too in love with Violet to even take notice.
Despite all the ladies in his life, it is Lisa Turtle who truly owns his heart. They only go on one date during the series, but they are often paired together when Zack and Kelly go together and Slater and Jessie date.
